in preperation for ramadan…

salam 3alaikum -
in preparation for ramadan, al7amdulillah, the following has taken place:

1. i've (finally) caught up on all the pending emails.
2. added 3 new recitations based on emails sent to me by users of the site, may Allah reward them (Husari with Doori Qira'a, Muhammad Hassan, and Salah Al-Hashim - the latter two courtesy of 4quran.com and el-moslem.com, respectively).
3. most importantly, i've finally fixed the id3 tags on all the files.

jazakumAllah khair.
wsalams.

  15. Wow, this is a great example of quality writing. I follow with avid interest and it keeps me sane when I feel like life is getting on top of me. I have recommended it to all my friends, and they are all going to become regular visitors, I’m certain of that. Congrats on your style of writing – it is very accomplished and is deserving of a lot of credit, something which many quality writers on the internet do not receive enough of. I was wondering, if you could update more often (that’s not to say you don’t update enough) but I admit that it’s merely me being greedy. It’s brilliant enough the way things are, and I without doubt am very thankful for your posts and I eagerly anticipate reading everything that you have to say in the future.

  17. I have downloaded Mishari ibn Rashid al-`Afasy with Ibrahim Walk [Saheeh Intl Translation] however surah 17 and 18 is missing. Will you be able to fix this?

  18. Salam brother the below email i sent you a while back but you must have been busy to not have uploaded it yet. Hope you get a chance to read it. :-) –>

    Assalaamualaikum,

This full quran set, which is broken into quarters took a lot of time and effort to make. This was done with the intention of helping myself with the memorisation of the quran.

Hufaaz often find it hard to listen and learn from CD sets that are broken into a random number of tracks. They often work in quarters, half and full juz’s of the quran when learning. This will hopefully help a lot of people inshallah.

Finally, I have tried my best to make this an error free production but as humans we make mistakes, so please as a humble request, if there are any errors please point them out and I will try my best to fix the problem.

As a final request please do dua that Allah SWT is pleased with me and my family. This is the one and only thing I ask of you.

Jazakallah, your brother in Islam, Usamah Khan.

P.S. 2004 was the final year Sheikh Sudais and Shuraim read the full quran on their own in Masjid-al-haram. Since then there has usually been 4 or more imaams completing the taraweeh prayers. This was one of the reason I chose to use this recitation set over others.
