quick update [and to those who left comments in the blog, please bear with me, insha'Allah will reply soon] - may Allah reward the brother who is responsible for a good amount of the audio on the site, he has merged the mehysni files together and has also sent me the missing surat al-i-3imran (003) for salah al-budair and the fixed surat al-isra' (017) for abu-bakr al-shatri.

if you go to quranicaudio.com on an iphone now, you get a slightly more "iphoneisized" version 
it's still not quite where i want it to be, but it's not bad for a start (in my opinion, anyway).
anyhow, if you have an iphone, give it a shot, and leave your suggestions in the comments.

a handful of changes to quranicaudio

just pushed an update to quranicaudio.com... you won't see much that's different, except for:
- makkah and madinah recitations moved into a haramain taraweeh section on the home page rather than being grouped under all the other recitations.
- the download page now links directly to the mp3s rather than the way it was before.
- ogg files are only on the download server, they've been removed from the listing page.
in addition, many non-visible changes have been made to make it easier to make modifications in the future insha'Allah. hopefully, the main page and the individual qari pages should have seen a speed boost as well.
i know there were some issues while i was posting, (about 30 minutes before this post), but al7amdulillah everything seems to be in good working order now. if you run into any issues, please send an email.

quick update (courtesy of my brother and friend) -
- Fares Abbad - completed, non partial files (re-tagged)
- Sadaqat Ali - completed, non partial files
- Maher al-Muaiqly - re-tagged files
update - just noticed that the re-tagging isn't fully done (ie the names etc aren't there), but the new logo made by my friend is there. will try to get this done soon insha'Allah.

courtesy of Al-Muaiqly.com, we now have the full recitation of one of my favorite sheikhs, sheikh Maher al-Muaiqly, in 256kbps high quality. you can download it here. i also want to take this opportunity to thank a friend of mine who got me the set from Makkah when he went for Hajj this year (may Allah accept from him and his family insha'Allah) - however, i never got around to ripping that set...
please note that i haven't tagged these files yet, insha'Allah will be uploading a better tagged version (courtesy of my friend, may Allah reward him) as soon as he's done uploading, so just thought to mention that.
speaking of tagging, i am planning on tagging those files that aren't tagged as well, but insha'Allah will post here once that's taken care of (it's not the immediate priority, but insha'Allah will get to it).

i've updated prayertimes to work with some countries for the dst updates (most notably, the us), but if you're outside the united states, try double checking with another site until the code that determines whether or not it's dst or not can be rewritten.

Simply enter a word or phrase to search, and explore the results in the Holy Qur'an. Clicking on the "Search Tips" link below the search bar returns some example queries:

searchquran.net help needed

we are currently working on rewriting searchquran.net (also known as quranicrealm) in order to add some more functionality, speed things up, and so on. i am currently needing help with the following:
- redesign - someone who can come up with a nice redesign for the site.
- logo - while this really depends on whether or not someone steps up to redesign the site (and, if they do, whether they want to reuse the current logo or not), i need someone who can translate the logo into arabic (meaning that they can send me a logo that looks like the current one, with the arabic text (المملكة القرانية) written under it rather than "quranicrealm").
if you can do one of these things (or both of them), please send us an email.
